Feedback
COL719 comments and more: Hey Guys, I hate to be complaining, but am sending this email in case if you are unaware. I downloaded COL 719 and sadly could not hear Jeff speak at all. I could hear Gary and background music. I went to look at youtube today and it seems to be operating the same way. I’ve listened to quite a few podcasts where Jeff’s volume was very low and hard to hear, while all the other guys were ok. COL 719 is the first that I recall not hearing Jeff at all. Just wanted to let you know. – MTNB
Advice: Hi I’m ace(he/him) and only recently started watching the podcast and found it interesting. I’m a trans guy living in the south and I’m still pre-transition and not out to everyone (mainly cause of fear of judgement). so any advice on how to let people know without saying it straight up – AR

Landscape of Relationships: Relationship Anarchy
Landscape of Relationships is back with Dr. Angelini-Cooke to discuss the topic of Relationship Anarchy. Who doesn’t love disorder in their connections with others? Perhaps that isn’t what it means. Let’s learn together!
The term Relationship anarchist (also commonly called RA) was coined by Ardie Nordgren. Nordgren created the Instructional Manifesto for Relationship Anarchy in 2006. The Manifesto is a quick and easy read consisting of 9 principles of RA:
Love is abundant, and every relationship is unique
Love and respect instead of entitlement
Find your core set of relationship values
Heterosexism is rampant and out there, but don’t let fear lead you
Build for the lovely unexpected
Fake it til’ you make it
Trust is better
Change through communication
Customize your commitments
“Relationship anarchy is a way of approaching relationships that rejects any rules and expectations other than the ones the involved people agree on. This approach ‘encourages people to let their core values guide how they choose and craft their relationship commitments rather than relying on social norms to dictate what is right for you,” Dedeker Winston, co-host of the Multiamory podcast
Relationship Anarchists is different and distinctive from polyamory and consensual non-monogamy because while a majority of RA practitioners may be poly and/or CNM, you can be monogamous and still practice RA.
This is in line with our last LOR topic of amatonormativity. Many ace and aro individuals are using RA as a way to navigate their relationships and future relationships, because RA can apply to any and all types of relationships, not just romantic or sexual. There is no hierarchy.
It’s the Memorial Holiday weekend here in the US. Damon and Gary are each on little vacations of their own. We’ll be back live in a week but this time around, we’re turning back the clock nine years to 2013. Funny enough, Damon was on vacation back then. But Jeff was joined by Gary and veteran co-host Eric! This week’s theme appears to be how nearly a decade later things repeat; rent increases, LGBTQ under fire politically, Orlando, drag queens, porn, and more. Remember limited cell phone plans? That’s a part of the conversation too!
On this episode of Cubs Out Loud, Damon is out, but Jeff, Eric and Gary discuss what Life Altering Moments have been important to them. This and Spontaneous Trips to Orlando, and more.
What the F Did We Do This Week
Topic: Life altering moments – profound experiences that changed the course of your life, moments when you can clearly see looking back that another outcome would have resulted in a much different future/present
