In this episode of Cubs Out Loud, the guys are joined by Ray to discuss a recent phenomenon; the ever increasing debate of being called “handsome” and being called “sexy”. From online dating to social apps, the guys chime in our their thoughts on what being complimented with these (and other) words means to them. Also, the cubs look at how accepting the compliment can have some positive and negative consequences.

So I just finished listening to episode 374 of COL, and I’d just like to thank you Sir. It was a touching conversation and many good points were brought up in the discussion.

You are most welcome. I’ve been a longtime listener but during that episode the discussion shifted to include someone in my situation. Which unfortunately, I find is rarely addressed since for many it isn’t an issue.

I will say that y’all were spot on when discussing how many of my generation are more aware of who they are attracted to at a much younger age.

Oh, I would just like to thank you again, the podcast has helped me a lot over the years. Whether it was for entertainment (comedic or sexual), informative, or just something to detract from the loneliness.

First, I would like to thank you for giving me a shout out in your last episode. I am glad my email was able to clarify some of your questions and I hope your episode was able to answer other people’s questions as well. Second, I was gladly surprised to receive a public invitation to your podcast! I’d be happy to try it out as I have never been invited to a podcast before. I am going to be moving to Albuquerque, NM this Friday and will not have internet at home for a few days… or many (if you have comcast you may know what I mean). The father of Omar Mateen, the suspect who shot and killed more than 50 people at Orlando’s gay nightclub Pulse, said that his son didn’t like it when he saw two men kissing recently in Miami.

Go out and kiss. In public. Make seeing a kiss a common thing. Take away it’s “shock” value. Do it for those who died, and those who won’t because you had the courage to express your love.
