Like most bear clubs, the Heart of Texas Bears had their beer bust for the month today. Compared to the Lone Star Bears beer bust, it’s a different crowd. I wouldn’t say it’s better or worse, just different. I was talking to Peter, the president of the Heart of Texas Bears and even asked him about the fact there are two bear clubs in Austin. Peter said that the relationship between them are okay. I’m glad. I really think that the two clubs are very different. The Lone Star Bears are a Social club while the Heart of Texas Bears are somewhat more organized, they have bigger events and what have you. Austin is big enough for two bear clubs and I’m glad for both of them.
