In just a couple of weeks here we are going to elect our next president.  In addition we have other things to vote on on November 4th.  My question to the COL Audience is, what resources do you use to make your decisions on your vote?

Those crazy Indians are at it again. What better way to to remind you to make sure you have a condom on you when by having your ringtone be a multipart harmony of the word “Condom” being sung over and over again in an Indian accent.

You might think this is absurd and it almost is. The ringtone, “Condom A Cappella”, is actually part of an ad campaign by the BBC World Service Trust to help prevent the transmission of HIV in India, where approximately 2.5 million people are living with HIV. The ringtone comes in at Phase III of the “jo samjha wohi sikander” (“the one who understands is a winner”) campaign sponcered by both the BBC World Service Trust and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They put up an ad where a cell phone rings with the ringtone. The man holding the phone gets surprised that it’s saying “Condom” but eventually people start looking at him as if he’s a very intellgent and the ladies start making eyes at him. I was listening to BearPodcast yesterday and Nard mentioned a really cool site called The Bear Mall. This site is the ultimate directory for “everything bear” from bars and bathhouses to Health & Wellness to Social Networking to the obligatory porn.  While I’d like Cubs Out Loud to be the ultimate source of information and commentary on what’s going on in the Bear Community, The Bear Mall gives you a place to go for services, information and entertainment.  I’ll definitely be using this site to final all the Bear information I need.  You should to.  I’ve put a link down in our Blog Roll as well so check out the site.
